Bank of America’s idea of everything under one umbrella…
Bank of America will be acquiring Merrill Lynch & Co. for $50 Billion USD; so how does a large buyout like this effective “you”, being one of their 59 million consumers? Positively speaking, with the takeover, Bank of America will earn the status of the country’s largest retail bank, largest credit issuer, the largest mortgage provider, and the largest retail brokerage. Thus, allowing Bank of America to send a sense of stability to its consumers and small business owners in an unstable economy.
With everything under one umbrella, perhaps this will bring bargaining power towards financial services. On the other hand consumers may get drawn into heavy rates and fees with the markets lack of competition. There is also the chance of the powerhouse, metaphorically speaking, “collapse”; and we as consumers may have nowhere to turn.
Side Note: Their online Customer Service is remarkable; I hope they will soon intergrate 24/7 LiveChat sessions.

No commentsSummer ending checklist…
Before the leaves start to make their decent and certainly before the nights reach those bitter low temperatures; there are a few things you must do before September 22nd, which is the first day of the Autumnal Equinox. With 2 weeks counting down, here is a small check list that I highly recommend accomplishing…
1. Cookouts! (clams, spedies, budweiser)
2. Water! (lakes, oceans, pools; even kid pools count if the water exceeds the ankles)
3. Sunsets! (rocking chairs, porches, open fields)
4. Sports! (18 holes, bachi ball; something with a ball!)
5. Friends! (concerts, baseball games, festivals)
You have exactly two weeks, don’t hesitate! Post your ideas…
No commentsAttend your Battle Stations…
Battle Stations, designed by Tyler Projects, newly released a Facebook application for those looking to kill some time and enemies. My close friend / co-creator introduced me to the strategic online game where users build their own battleships to set sail and fight other users. Battle Stations is a free onine game (which fits my budget perfectly!) and is now running a promotion to its players; a chance to win a Nintendo Wii or a touch IPOD!
Abby Wambach Youth Soccer Clinics
Come September, Abby Wambach, a player for the United States Olympic Soccer Team will be holding Youth Soccer Clinics hosted by MVP Healthcare & Preferred Care. The clinics will be held in different cities throughout New York State; such as Albany, Syracuse, and Rochester. Because of Abby’s season ending injury, she will be giving back to the kids rather than participating in the Summer Olympic Games; helping kids train, exercise, and sharpen their skill levels.
MVP Healthcare & Preferred Care asked me to design a first ever online form for these youth soccer clinics. I was able to successfully intergrate a user-friendly form submission for parents and children to register for their free tickets. It was a pleasure working with everyone and I wish Abby a speedy recovery!
For more information and/or to register visit either MVP KidPower! or PC KidPower!

Today is the start of the 2008 Summer Olympics being held in Beijing China. The photos shown on the left is Beijings own “Bird Nest” Stadium; where most of the games will be held. Over 3,600 hours across 7 television networks will be broadcasting this years games and I am excited to say that this is the Olympics first broadcast ever in high-definition.
According to David Neal, executive vice president of NBC, states that “Even the smallest lipstick camera - the camera that is embedded in the archery target that gives you a view of the arrow coming directly at the target; will be in HD.” I am quite excited!

No commentsAnheuser Busch has a price and it’s $52 billion…
It’s true, Anheuser Busch has been bought out by InBev, a global leading brewery based in Belgium. The sales ticket was roughly $52 billion U.S. Dollars, allowing shareholders to collect $70 per share. One may say, how can an American born company, that has been brewing and distributing beer for over decades, allow an international investor takeover?
With tradition aside, globalization is no new trend. Simply put, look at the worth of the U.S. Dollar…
No commentsLilac Festival ‘08…
Once again, this year’s Lilac Festival was an enjoyful event. Each year the festival is held on the hills of Highland Park in Rochester, NY. The flowers seemed to be showing off to the large crowds; surrounded by a beautiful sunfilled blue sky. Activities can include long walks through the lilac fields, market shopping, games for the youngin’s, and plently of food and live music to all likings. Luckly this event runs for an entire week!

rwBridges.com has now gone Mobile!
As a daily Mobile Internet user, I find it quite difficult to load and navigate thru webpages if they are not properly configured for mobile devices; thus leading towards frustration and seeking alternative webpages for information. If you own a mobile device that can navigate throughout the web, I eager you to try a few of your favorite sites and test them on loading times and ease of navigation. Since I complained so much about the situation, I’ve decided to configure my site strictly to satisfy anyone who happens to visit my site on the go! So enjoy!
If you would like more information on how to configure your website for mobile internet leave a comment and I’ll try to help!
