This past Saturday I attended Rochester’s annual lilac festival at Highland Park. The festival was of course filled with beautiful sceneries of lilacs trees and miscellaneous flower gardens. Once strolling off the scented hills, you will find yourself smelling the delicious fried dough with powdered sugar; known as “pizza-frite” where I come from. Along with all the food, activities included games, children rides, live music, and magic shows. If you happen to find youself in Rochester next time this year, perhaps you can catch Martha Stewart walking thru the gardens; as she aired her show last Thursday from the lilac hills of Highland Park.
