Bill Clinton; keynote speaker at RIT

Bill Bridges graduation ceremony; keynote speaker President Clinton

Friday, May 25th 2007; Former President Bill Clinton was kind enough to attend our graduation ceremony at Rochester Institute of Technology and spoke among us all with words of endearment. President Clinton briefly mentioned his wife Hillary Clinton and her presidential campaign, yet attention was focused on how the world viewed one another. Everyday we see people, yet President Clinton asks, “Do we really see someone?” To really see someone, you must view how they live their lives; many people gone unrecognized each day (i.e. school janitor, sweatshop employee, even someone delivering your food). With a vast world of religious, racial, and ethical segmentations its easily to forget those around you. One resolution is to recognize and respect everyone.

Lilac Festival ‘07

This past Saturday I attended Rochester’s annual lilac festival at Highland Park. The festival was of course filled with beautiful sceneries of lilacs trees and miscellaneous flower gardens. Once strolling off the scented hills, you will find yourself smelling the delicious fried dough with powdered sugar; known as “pizza-frite” where I come from. Along with all the food, activities included games, children rides, live music, and magic shows. If you happen to find youself in Rochester next time this year, perhaps you can catch Martha Stewart walking thru the gardens; as she aired her show last Thursday from the lilac hills of Highland Park. For more details on the festival visit the “Lilac Festival” website.

Recovery Agent - Glutamine

The new revovery agent to hit the market, Glutmine Complex, is raising the bar; literally in my case. For the past 5 days this has been added before and after my strenuous workouts. According to ‘Health Smart Today’ an informational magazine by Vitamin World, glutamines a non-essential amino acid that accounts for half the amino acids in your muscle tissue. This basic amino acid is simply a building block for your bodies protein. Stimulating your muscles is step 1; then comes muscle recovery with glutamine to prepare you for the next days workout and help recover your muscles glutomine levels from the severly depleted post workout.

The trick towards becoming fit, begins with a controlled diet. Direct results in my diet come from the decrease of sugars, light meals throughout the day, physical activity (currently training to become a 300 soldier), along with the recovery agent glutamine. Working out at home or the gym takes motivation and dedication; control your urges and release them through activity.

Glutamine Complex can be purshased in any vitamin store.
